Revun is building a next-generation software platform designed to modernize how property owners, property managers, brokerages, maintenance providers, service professionals, and real estate organizations operate.
The platform combines CRM, leasing, maintenance, accounting, payments, communications, workflow automation, compliance, reporting, AI, integrations, and stakeholder portals into a single operating platform.
Our goal is not to build another collection of disconnected software tools. We are building an operational platform that simplifies complex business processes, reduces manual work, improves visibility, and helps organizations operate more efficiently.
The product is well underway. The vision is clear.
Now we need the right technical leader to take ownership of the platform and lead it through its next stage of growth.
Revun is hiring a Chief Technology Officer to take full ownership of the platform, engineering organization, and technical execution.
This is not a traditional corporate CTO role focused primarily on maintaining existing systems.
This is also not a role for someone who simply manages developers while technical decisions happen elsewhere.
We are looking for an experienced technology leader who can inherit an existing platform, evaluate it objectively, make difficult technical and business decisions, strengthen what already works, improve what does not, eliminate unnecessary complexity, and successfully lead the product through commercial launch.
You will work directly with the Founder to transform product vision into a scalable, reliable, secure, and commercially successful software platform.
Success in this role is not measured by the number of features built.
Success is measured by building the right product, with the right engineering team, using the right technology, while bringing Revun to market efficiently without sacrificing quality, security, usability, or long-term scalability.
During your first months with Revun, you will be expected to:
Perform a complete technical audit of the existing platform.
Evaluate the architecture, infrastructure, security, engineering practices, product quality, technical debt, and codebase.
Assess the current engineering organization, including developers, contractors, vendors, processes, and delivery capability.
Determine what should be retained, improved, simplified, replaced, purchased, or rebuilt.
Identify launch blockers, unnecessary complexity, architectural risks, security concerns, and delivery bottlenecks.
Define the minimum commercially viable product required for launch while separating launch-critical functionality from future enhancements.
Build a realistic technical roadmap balancing quality, speed, cost, usability, and scalability.
Introduce modern engineering standards, QA processes, documentation standards, release management, and responsible AI-assisted development practices.
Build an engineering organization capable of reliably delivering software both before and after launch.
Own the overall technical direction of the platform.
Take responsibility for architecture, engineering execution, scalability, reliability, security, and production readiness.
Continuously evaluate whether the platform is meeting business objectives rather than simply technical objectives.
Protect long-term platform quality while maintaining commercial delivery speed.
Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization.
Evaluate current engineering resources and determine future hiring, restructuring, vendor, contractor, and leadership needs.
Establish clear ownership, accountability, engineering standards, and performance expectations.
Build a culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, execution, and ownership.
Partner closely with the Founder and Product Design to transform business requirements into well-designed software.
Help define realistic product priorities and challenge unnecessary complexity.
Ensure engineering work supports business outcomes rather than feature accumulation.
Balance speed with technical quality, maintainability, and customer experience.
Review and improve backend architecture, frontend architecture, database design, APIs, infrastructure, integrations, workflow engines, automation, and platform scalability.
Identify technical debt and establish practical remediation plans.
Make informed build-versus-buy recommendations.
Strengthen authentication, authorization, RBAC, audit logging, API protection, infrastructure security, and privacy controls.
Improve monitoring, observability, backup procedures, disaster recovery, deployment safety, rollback capability, and incident response.
Ensure production systems remain reliable, secure, and highly available.
Ensure payment workflows, accounting integrations, reconciliation processes, transaction integrity, audit trails, payouts, and financial reporting are technically reliable and secure.
Protect financial data accuracy throughout the platform.
Drive responsible adoption of AI throughout both the product and engineering organization.
Introduce AI-assisted development workflows where appropriate to improve productivity, documentation, testing, code quality, and delivery speed.
Ensure AI is implemented responsibly with proper review, privacy controls, testing, security, and measurable business value.
Manage engineering budgets covering employees, contractors, cloud infrastructure, AI usage, software licensing, integrations, monitoring, QA, security, and ongoing maintenance.
Make technology investment decisions that balance cost, speed, quality, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
Communicate technical priorities, risks, timelines, costs, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to non-technical leadership.
Translate business vision into engineering execution.
Bring solutions—not simply technical problems—to leadership discussions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, AI/ML, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
Minimum 5 years in a senior engineering leadership position such as CTO, Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, Engineering Director, Software Architect, or equivalent.
Proven experience inheriting and improving existing SaaS products.
Experience leading software products through commercialization and production launch.
Strong SaaS architecture experience.
Experience with CRM platforms, operational software, marketplace applications, fintech/payment systems, workflow automation, or other multi-role platforms.
Strong backend architecture, API design, database architecture, scalability, performance, authentication, authorization, and security experience.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, deployment, and production operations.
Experience managing distributed engineering teams.
Experience managing engineering budgets and technology investment decisions.
Strong executive communication skills.
Ability to make difficult technical, staffing, and product decisions while maintaining strong relationships.
Experience rebuilding or restructuring engineering teams.
Experience preparing SaaS platforms for commercial launch.
Experience working with non-technical founders.
Experience partnering closely with Product Design and Product Management.
Experience introducing AI-assisted engineering practices.
Experience evaluating whether existing software should be retained, simplified, or rebuilt.
Experience with marketplace products, operational platforms, property technology, field-service software, or enterprise workflow systems.
Experience with financial systems, payments, reconciliation, auditability, and transaction integrity.
Experience leading products through rapid growth after launch.
You combine strong technical judgment with practical business thinking.
You understand that shipping the right product is more valuable than endlessly building more software.
You are comfortable making difficult decisions about technology, people, priorities, budgets, vendors, and product scope.
